Summary of Plot:
Forrest Gump is not stupid. Although his IQ is 75, he sees the world far clearer than most people through- his decent, childlike eyes in a less confusing manner.
Raised in rural Alabama by a single mother, Forrest being “different” has to face various struggles, not only with his situation but also as bullies. However, he soon finds out that he can run like the wind and this gets him to the University of Alabama.
An inspiring story of a different boy with good nature to
overcome his disabilities takes him through a roller coaster ride filled with surprises.
From studying and graduating to fighting
in Vietnam war, competing in international table tennis tournament to founding a
shrimping company as promised to his best friend who died in Vietnam war
"Bubba", engaging in philanthropy to jogging across the country for a
myriad time, he has done it all. About at the end, he invests everything in a company;
a fruit company in his words, Apple corporation, he has accomplished what
normal said to be people wouldn't have in years.
The movie perfectly portrays the smartness of stupidity very well. Forrest's love for his childhood girlfriend, Jenny and her inspiring him to run making him acknowledge his talent of running reflects a lot of teachings.
In the end, Forrest settles down as Jenny dies after bringing his son to this Earth and knowing his son isn’t different like him but very talented give Forrest the perfect ending.
