So how's your posture?

With the wide-spread effect of the corona virus, we all are almost forced to stay in our home. Offices are closed, students don't have to go to class, restaurants are closed, your tour with friends is also likely to be cancelled.

So, what do we do; or what are we doing? I'm no expert but probably most of us just sit. We sit to eat, binge some series on Netflix and whatnot. While we may enjoy being lazy , there are things we must give some attention to.

One thing that many people probably ignore knowingly is their posture. It may sometimes come as a shock that just sitting all day can be harmful. Poor sitting habits can cause muscle tension in different parts of our body. So, what is good posture anyway and why is it so important?

Maintaining good posture is basically maintaining curves in our spine. Our spine has three curves- at the neck, mid back and low back. Our head should be above our shoulders, and the top of our shoulder should be over the hips.

    2. Poor posture may make you look shorter than you actually are. And over time, slumping or slouching can also affect your actual height.

Your back should curve naturally in three places. If you regularly slump or slouch, these curves may shift to accommodate your new posture.
